Victoria Di Carlo
Tracy Nguyen is a dance teacher and personal trainer based in the Toronto area. Having earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance at York University, Tracy is now focussing on developing teaching strategies to train young dancers in a way that tests the physical limits of the body, while also maintaining a positive and safe environment. She specializes in teaching dance technique, strengthening, flexibility and conditioning for dancers, as well as group fitness instruction and personal training. In addition to her BFA, she is also certified in Progressing Ballet Techniques (PBT) ADAPT Jazz Technique, and holds her Personal Training Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
Tracy encourages the utilization of the growth mindset in her training practices and motivates her clients to work toward becoming a better version of themselves, using training as a means of self acceptance and self care, rather than trying to change what they see as undesirable. Her mission is to ensure that her clients always leave with a smile, increased confidence, and a sense of accomplishment!
Cristina began her dance training at an early age in studio where she trained in Ballet, Jazz, Acro, Hip-Hop and Lyrical, and competed in dance competitions throughout Canada and the United States.
Cristina attended York University's Fine Arts Dance program training in Ballet and Modern, and there grew her love for world dance studies. During this time Cristina began her teaching career, teaching at dance studios and community centers in Toronto and the GTA.
In 2016, she founded X Choreography dance company, where she continues to provide
dance programs and choreography for school workshops and events. With X Choreography, Cristina is proud to have taken her team to perform halftime at multiple Toronto Raptors games Brampton Beast hockey game, and local festivals & events.
Cristina has been blessed with the opportunity to take her love of dance to the Dominican Republic. Cristina worked as the choreographer for a hotel resort, and was a part of the entertainment team, training and performing in shows and local events. There she continued her love for Latin dance, training in Bachata and Merengue, performing and teaching at local events. From this experience, Cristina continues to get inspired by the music and culture.
Cristina aims to stay true to her mission as a dancer and choreographer by striving to bring dancers together and creating a safe and fun dance environment for all who step in the studio with her.
One of our newest instructors at D'Air, Victoria is approaching her second-year teaching with us and teaches contemporary, jazz and so much more! She is currently going into her twenty- third year of dancing and her 10th year as a dance teacher. A York University Alumni, Victoria completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance; specializing in performance and choreography. She is also certified in Progressive Ballet Training and ADAPT TTS Year 1. We could not be happier to have her on our team!
Victoria's training will incorporate a combination of yoga and pilates.
